Truth? What we have in common is the past, not the present or the future. We've built a fort made up of giggles, slippery sleeping bags, and loud music blaring from my stereo. While it is not modern or very relevant or even a dynamic I truly understand, what we have are photo albums from the days when people still took time to print and paste and collate their memories in a book. Others say this kind of thing is an anchor, keeping you steady and true. Other times, I'm sure it becomes a weight, dragging you down, trying to make you believe that you're this or you're that when you know different. People don't expect you to change; they have a very definite view of you.

You always hit the nail on the head, Ana. You see the truth in things and about things and translate that into flawless words. Change (and the recognition of change) is hard to embrace for too many of us. This actually reminded me of some lines from an Avett Brothers song: "I want to have friends that I can trust. Who love me for the man I've become not the man that I was."

Switching gears, you look gorgeous. I'm particularly smitten with your trousers. I've been on a trouser hunt since early spring, but have come up empty handed.

What a pretty blazer! These photos are gorgeous...I love the bright pink flowers behind you.

In my experience, it seems like some people change more than others and it's often a good thing. Yet there are certain personality traits that tend to be consistent. Your interests, worldview, beliefs, etc., might change while your basic personality remains.

This is such a pretty, classy outfit, and it also has a strong romantic vibe to it as well. I really like that blazer from H&M! I enjoyed your reflections as well- they are as beautiful as your outfit and your photographs.

Thank you for your kind words about my grandma- it truly means a lot to me. <3 x

What a beautiful outfit. I am envious of people who can pull of romantic neutrals. Those trousers and that blazer! They're creamy, dreamy, and sweet!

You always take the most beautiful photos!

It's strange that the floral shift didn't look good - me and two other friends of different sizes all ended up with it! LOL. Probs won't see me wearing any until I get back from the USA but that will be soon enough I guess

the pictures are fabs. and the words are making me think a bit. an ex-friend wants to re-kindle our friendship. i have my doubts that this is a good idea. i don't think she has changed, and i doubt i have either. humph.

thanks for your reply post on my blog, very helpful! i have heard around the internet that if you are an avid film photographer, it's more cost-effective to get it developed and buy a hi-red scanner and scan them yourself.

thanks for the tip :)

Wonderful photos and words Ana. I love how you write and you have a way of leaving me thinking. There's definitely something wrong when it comes to being perceived a certain way -even when it's a positive view- if it means you're not supposed to change or grow or even experiment. It makes me rebel even more for some weird brat reason? :)

What a beautiful place for your photos and you look lovely. I agree with so much that you wrote, I wish I could write like you.

How do you make clothes always look so perfect, AnaB? There are some people who definitely let their clothes wear them and not the other way round - you are definitely of this latter group!
Gorgeous photos as usual - and so glad they are digital instead of just printed ;) Blogs are kinda like sharing albums all around - love that!

Yep, it's true. I believe that people do change, but sometimes they die first. Okay, where's my idealism? Hah.

Yeah, it's true, people don't expect you to change. It's funny when you meet someone from the old times who didn't know you really well and who has you in memory as a wild person who loves to drink too much and does stupid things. (Hah it obviously happened to me :D) And you're here in present and the person seems to talk to part of you you in the past. It's strange.

That blazer is so sweet!

Peace and love!
