i drew the sun today

I drew a sun today (#76). And spent fifteen minutes eating an orange (#19). The juice dripped down the inside of my wrist as I ate it and looked out the window at the clouds trundling past. Afterwards, I walked around the office, hunting under desks. I found a paper clip, a hotel pen, a butterfly cutout, and a plastic daffodil (#22). I hung them on the pot plant next to me. I started doing pencil rubbings of coins (#55) but got hungry and searched for chocolate instead.

What about you?

  3. wow, fifteen minutes! that's impressive.

i'd like to pick my own, too. unless my fiance really knows me. in which case, he would know that i want a ruby ring. with maybe pearls next to it. no diamonds necessary. and like, a faded/aged gold/bronze-ish band. and i don't care how much it costs! as long as it looks cool/pretty. (:

  26. I have that skirt! Wish I got a smaller size though, my waist is crazy small compared to my hips.
Ah well, that is why someone invented the belt.
I saw a gorgeous maxi dress in Farmers yesterday, it's purple, orange, black and pink and had a plain black lining skirt under and then the colourful polyester chiffon. It does have strange thin straps that I would hack off if I purchased it :)I dream about it!

Love you blog, have a great weekend.

  30. dim sum! there's a musical here that's called 'dim sum dollies' so now i tend to say dim sum dollies altogether.

  31. aw, ana, thank you! it would have been such fun to have seen "bright star" with you, too. please do yourself the favor of seeing it. i know you'll appreciate all the beauty and feeling that is present throughout the film. gosh, the cinematography is amazing, you'll love it. perhaps someday we'll both find each other on the same side of the world and make time to see a pretty film together :)

ah yes, i can understand what you mean about things of beauty being beautiful because they are transient. for me, the opening lines of the keats poem are beyond perfect. for as often as things of beauty are transient they also live on in memory -- initial fondness and appreciation recalled, increasing in loveliness, never passing into nothingness and forever holding us to the moment we first acknowledged their beauty.

you look lovely, lovely! the color alone of your blouse is thrifted perfection - so pretty! and, the print is the icing on the cake :)
    star tights? adorable!

    enjoy your weekend! ♥

  32. I like all the little things you did. Reminds me that living in the moment can be small things. Your dotted tights are super cute... and YUM! dim-sum is my fave

Love the red blouse and floral skirt, Ana! They look divine on you! And that food looks soooooo gooood. I wish we had better dim sum in the ATL.

Hope you are having a beautiful weekend and many still moments looking at trees (those photos are gorgeous).
