writing my own report card

I went to a Fill-Up-A-Bag-for-$5 jumble sale in Newtown today. Miniature-size dunes of clothing were tipped onto trestle tables and all over the floor. You had to mark your territory wisely or else risk being stuck for the next five mintues burrowing helplessly through second-hand underwear. I spent six years in academic study. The concentration and attention of thrifters in deep-thrifting-mode rivals that of a library full of students a week before exams. I emerged with my bag full of goodies, my trophy being this perfect red and white pencil dress and blue and red spotted wool cardigan. I was so excited to share it with you all I couldn't be arsed ironing it. I grade myself A+ on bargain hunting.

♥ Dress and cardigan 100 percent thrifted ♥

  1. Yessss! I love when you post videos! It always inspires me to make some, but then I never get around to it. Maybe one of these days.

Oh, and your dress is fantastic. I know they have a by-the-pound sale, with the clothes dunes and everything, around Los Angeles, but I'm sad to say I've never been. Maybe one of thes--wait. haha your post just makes me realize all the things I need to do!

  6. Phillip Lim didn't excite me and Preen wasn't my style, so.. yeah. Everyone's put Marc Jacobs on the favourite list too but I think he got way too excited with the shoulder pads. lol

And well done on the amazing finds! That sounds like an awesome sale. I quite like those sort of crazy sales, although I've yet to find a fill-a-bag-for-$5 here in Melbourne - I can just imagine the insanity!

  21. That little video is so sweet. Nice finds! Andy doesn't usually read novels, which is why I started reading him some teen action fiction - John Marsden's Tomorrow When the War Began. Haha now we're up to book 5 in the series ;-)
