People had been saying in the week leading up to the races that Cyclone Wilma was about to hit and I was going to look like Brian Brake's Monsoon Girl. We got a foggy, hazy drizzle in the second half of the day. The Fashions in the Field tent started to leak. Puddles formed along the queue to the betting booths. I huddled underneath the awnings of food caravans, shivering and downing hot chocolates and sugary donuts. We waited on the train platform as the rain fell down and the loudspeakers blared Top 40 music. People were ill-prepared, huddling underneath jackets and picnic blankets. I sheltered underneath the canopy of a dripping tree. Guy Sebastian's Who's That Girl came on and suddenly people were dancing, laughing, kissing and whirling around on the slick concrete. Nobody cared much about the rain then. The moment was perfect.

Gorgeous dress! You have the most amazing wardrobe of floral dresses and pretty pastels, you have even inspired me to hunt down NZ brands we don't have in Australia like Little One! Also think you (or Rob I should say) take the best fashion photographs of any of the blogs I follow! Just stunning x

I'm sure you've seen me loving your hydrangea photo all over tumblr and Flickr, but I really need to take the time and talk about it. Ana, it's gorgeous! The color of the petals in the hazy light is all that spring & summer should be. The weathered fence and soft edges complete the photo in a true sense of perfection. I feel so wonderfully happy and warm looking at it. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like a gorgeous moment Ana... I love your dress and photographs as always!
ReplyDeleteSending wishes for a wonderful new week... ♥
